Abstract

It has been well proved that malware attacks results in a loss of wealth and security to individuals and organizations. So, it is of utmost importance to understand that how a person or an organization becomes a victim of malware attacks. To understand the issues affecting malware attacks an empirical analysis was
carried out. Firstly, factors affecting malware attacks were identified and a model was proposed, subsequently SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) was carried out to validate the proposed model and finally, regression analysis was used to establish the importance of the identified factors.
