The study collected the opinions of 389 consumers to analyze their perceptions and intentions.

The work has covered consumers of the Kathmandu Valley and the eastern part of Nepal. A convenience

method of sampling has been employed to select a sample for research. A five-point Likert scale was the

means of obtaining the perceptual information of respondents. Both descriptive and inferential analyses

have been used to draw the description and inference. The findings of the study have been directed toward

understanding and implementing some facts related to the reasons for brand-switching behavior among

consumers, and they have managerial implications in the field of marketing. Reliability analysis of

instruments was performed before the main analysis. The mean values indicate that consumers have positive

opinions about the variables being studied. The value of correlation has shown that all independent variables

(price, income, technology, and promotional tools) are positively and significantly associated with the

brand-switching behavior. Additionally, the result of regression analysis has revealed that price plays a more

vital role in switching brands compared to income, technology, and promotional tools. An independent

sample t-test found the mean difference between the genders towards switching behavior at a 5% level of

significance. At the 1% level of significance, it was also found that the opinion of consumers of different age

groups varied on switching behavior. Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) theory has been the main idea behind the

investigation.
2025-12-08T12:59:26+0530Copyright (c) 2025 SMS Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovationhttp://journals.smsvaranasi.com/index.php/smsjei/article/view/2429The Role of the Community in Improving the Quality of Life of the Rural Elderly People: A Study2025-12-08T14:22:52+0530Kazi Sonia Rahman, Joint Directorksoniarahmanbard@gmail.comFarida Yeasmin, Deputy Directorforidayeasmin7777@gmail.com
This study explores the role of community support in enhancing the quality of life for rural elderly

populations in Bangladesh. With an aging demographic and increasing life expectancy, elderly individuals

in rural areas face various socio-economic and health-related challenges, including dependency, financial

instability, and social isolation. This research, conducted in selected villages of the Cumilla district, uses a

mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions, to assess the living

conditions, challenges, and support mechanisms available to elderly individuals. Findings reveal that while

community-level and institutional initiatives, such as social security programs, provide critical support,

gaps remain in the accessibility and reliability of these services. The study underscores the importance of

strengthening community involvement and improving healthcare, economic aid, and social engagement

programs to foster a more inclusive environment for the elderly. Recommendations include enhancing

medical care, ensuring timely delivery of benefits, and fostering local support networks to address the

evolving needs of this vulnerable population.
2025-12-08T13:12:17+0530Copyright (c) 2025 SMS Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovationhttp://journals.smsvaranasi.com/index.php/smsjei/article/view/2430Determinants of People's Selection of Healthcare Provider: A Comparative Study on Private and Public Hospitals in Kollam District, Kerala2025-12-08T13:27:50+0530Sreekumar. They often seek information about any

medical issues they might be facing and consider alternatives before coming to a decision. And when it

comes to choosing hospital, behaviors of the staff, outside reputation of the hospital, quality of care, and

hygiene conditions concern them. Patients nowadays want to be updated regularly; they want swift

treatment and personalized care. The state of Kerala is a place that's famous for its high literacy rates and a

robust healthcare system, the state has genuinely embraced technology in healthcare. Once a niche alternative, OTT platforms have rapidly evolved into

mainstream channels of content consumption, driven by widespread smartphone penetration, affordable

internet access, and changing consumer lifestyles. This transformation is not only technological but also

entrepreneurial in nature—fuelled by agile content strategies, regional language integration, and innovative

pricing models that cater to a diverse audience base. This study adopts a viewer-centric lens to examine the

behavioural and demographic factors influencing OTT platform adoption in India. Utilizing a quantitative

research methodology, the study combines primary and secondary data to analyse correlations between user

traits—such as age, income, and geographic location—and key determinants like content accessibility,

usability, and perceived value. Findings reveal that platform innovation—reflected in personalized content

delivery, intuitive interfaces, and multi-device accessibility—plays a critical role in driving engagement and

retention. The paper offers insights into how OTT platforms can refine their market strategies by aligning

technological advancement with evolving viewer preferences, thereby sustaining their competitive edge in

a rapidly transforming digital landscape.
2025-12-08T14:06:08+0530Copyright (c) 2025 SMS Journal of Entrepreneurship & Innovationhttp://journals.smsvaranasi.com/index.php/smsjei/article/view/2433The Impact of ESG Practices on SME Value Creation: Mediating Roles of Multidimensional Performance Metrics2025-12-08T14:15:14+0530M. Gomathy, Assistant Professordrgomathyp@gmail.com
This study investigates the relationship between Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices

and value creation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) with the mediating role of Multi-

Dimensional Performance measures (MDP). Using a descriptive and causal research design with stratified

random sampling, primary data were collected with a survey from 320 SMEs in Thiruvallur District, India.

Findings reveal that ESG practices significantly impact value creation (β = 0.384) and MDP mediates this

relationship (β = 0.247) indicates that ESG initiatives enhance value indirectly through improved

performance metrics. The total effect of ESG on value creation is strong (β = 0.643) highlights the benefits

of integrating ESG into business strategies. This scheme aims to

bring motivated individuals into Bihar's development sector. The Young Professional Program of JEEViKA

is a strategic step taken by the Government of Bihar, which aims to improve the quality of the program,

empower women, and strengthen community institutions. Over the years, this program has brought up significant pathways by bringing up new perspectives,

building leadership capacity, and promoting gender equality. Although this program has contributed

significantly to rural transformation, however, significant challenges have been noted such as career

dissatisfaction, compensation issues, and a high attrition rate in long-term engagement. Existing literature

has been reviewed indicating focused efforts have been given to the recruitment of the program and its

structural designs, but there is a critical gap that remains in assessing its long-term impact on rural

development, gender inequality, and turnover challenges.
